Either u just wanna look cool or u really can speak other language. Tell you what guys,it's pathetic to say u can speak other language but really u just used Google Translate to say something in that language
Google Translate SUCKS ok? If you can really speak that language, you'd post it ON YOUR OWN on ur facebook or blog or twitter,and try to translate it on google, and the meaning wouldn't be exactly what you mean. THATS WHEN U CAN REALLY SPEAK.
I've been learning French recently from my cousin. I don't read dictionary,i listen to what my cousin say and ask what it means. Like i just know that 'Shut Up' in French is 'Ta Geule' which if u search on Google Translate u wouldn't find anything.
That's because i don't learn French's formal language. I learn the informal language. Why?
Imagine this. You are in Paris. Your mom is buying some boring merchandise,your dad is taking a photo of Musee du Louvre. You see a cute guy, he's about 15 years old and he's alone. He go to you because he thinks you are cute. He says ' Ca Va?'. And you couldn't understand,because all this time you were learning French that 'How Are You' in French is 'Comment Allez-Vous' which is the BORING AND FORMAL way of French.
Embarassed. And after you finally know what he meant, you answer 'Je vais bien merci' which is another formal and boring way. The 'new' and informal way is 'bien,et toi?'. He will think you are boringg and walk away. You just missed a chance to have a cute french boyfriend. CLASH.
